# IARPG-OPS-2 2.0.14-wip Release Notes

## Status

Work in progress. This release is a fictional international intelligence role-playing game reference publication and browser-local design system. It is not a live persistent MMO, intelligence service, legal service, clinical service, or current geopolitical intelligence feed.

## A denser, clearer global interface

- Removed the redundant utility strip while retaining release status in the compact non-sticky search masthead.
- Kept the IARPG logo, primary navigation, More menu, and theme control in the sole sticky `.menu-strip`.
- Reduced the sticky navigation target to approximately 46 CSS pixels on desktop and 44 pixels on narrow screens, plus its border.
- Combined site orientation and evidence routes into one compact non-sticky rail.
- Tightened navigation gaps, search, breadcrumbs, heroes, sections, cards, report readers, standards records, workbenches, calls to action, and footer spacing through shared density tokens.
- Preserved the linked five-path Start Here hero: Game Concept, Missions, Create Missions, Standards, and Research.
- Added representative density validation across desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts.

At 1366×768, the Start Here hero begins approximately 113 CSS pixels earlier than the 2.0.13 baseline. The representative document height is approximately 13% shorter. These are implementation measurements, not evidence of human preference or comprehension.

## Six-report alliance and faction research intake

Six supplied Markdown reports are now preserved individually beneath:

`docs/source-files/alliance-and-faction-systems-research/`

They map one-to-one to six canonical reports beneath:

`docs/long-term-memory/reports/`

The canonical reports cover:

- Global alliance and alignment taxonomy
- Alliance formation, maintenance, burden sharing, stress, and fracture
- Informal alignment, patronage, sponsorship, intermediaries, and disputed proxy claims
- Faction access, screening, integration, retention, refusal, and exit
- Lone-actor and network-adjacency evidence, prevention, disengagement, and civil liberties
- Original fictional alliance and recruitment worldbuilding

Each report contains a bounded `Reviewed Synthesis`, source SHA-256 provenance, current truth boundary, Memory References, and supersession state. A schema-validated review register records 36 publication dispositions. Current real-world claims remain subject to renewed authoritative verification; preserved source prose is archival rather than automatic current guidance.

## Alliance Observatory and advanced fictional world system

The site now publishes a browser-local fictional relationship system with:

- **12** internally plural factions
- **27** domain-specific relationships
- **14** relationship types
- **8** cooperation domains
- A **7-stage** reversible alliance lifecycle
- A **10-level** influence-evidence continuum
- **4** alliance stress tests
- **12** safe fictional mission seeds

New public surfaces:

- `/alliances` — interactive Alliance Observatory with network filters, faction dossiers, accessible relationship table, lifecycle model, stress-test lab, and mission generator
- `/factions` — Faction Directory, institutional anatomy, recruitment safeguards, independent-actor posture, and a browser-local faction blueprint builder
- `/network-influence` — evidence continuum, claim-versus-control distinctions, protective factors, disengagement, civil-liberties controls, and safe mission translation

The model allows the same factions to cooperate in one domain, compete in another, hedge elsewhere, and disagree internally. It does not use a global good/evil or friend/enemy score.

## Public-content expansion

The homepage, Start Here, World, Global Atlas, and How to Play now explain how alliances, internal blocs, evidence confidence, practical cooperation, informal support, attribution, refusal, disengagement, and relationship change affect missions.

The Answer Center now includes direct answers about alliances, simultaneous cooperation and competition, proxy terminology, faction recruitment, lone-actor terminology, and the prohibition on recruitability or dangerousness profiling. The glossary adds alliance, neutrality, hedging, liaison, patronage, sponsorship, faction, internal bloc, recruitment pathway, network adjacency, disavowal, and disengagement terminology.

## Safety, fairness, and realism boundaries

- Alignment describes a relationship, not the moral character of a country, culture, religion, region, institution, diagnosis, or population.
- Shared adversaries, common rhetoric, trade, parallel action, or post-event praise do not by themselves establish alliance, sponsorship, direction, or proxy control.
- Recruitment is represented as organizational access, eligibility, screening, integration, trust, retention, refusal, and exit—not as persuasion tradecraft.
- The site does not publish recruitability scores, vulnerability profiles, coercive scripts, blackmail, clandestine contact, real-group joining instructions, targeting guidance, intrusion, evasion, sabotage, or weapons guidance.
- Lone-actor analysis separates exposure, community participation, support, tasking, command, post-event claims, disavowal, and false attribution while emphasizing protective factors, false positives, privacy, and contestability.
- Every fictional faction includes internal disagreement, dependencies, oversight, rights concerns, affected-community views, legitimacy, and uncertainty.

## Memory and durable documentation

- `.uai/` remains active first-load memory.
- Added three active hot-memory records: `.uai/alliance-network.uai`, `.uai/faction-recruitment.uai`, and `.uai/network-influence.uai`.
- Added `docs/long-term-memory/reports/alliance-faction-and-network-world-system-integration-report.md`.
- All six canonical reports link back to applicable hot memory; relevant UAI records deep-link to their `Reviewed Synthesis` sections.
- `.uai/long-term-memory.uai` remains a pointer-only ledger.
- Current inventory is 355 preserved source files, 229 canonical reports, 238 durable pointer records, and 98 active UAI records with byte-identical public mirrors after finalization.

## Promotion boundary

The release remains WIP. Deterministic validation does not prove current geopolitical accuracy, legal or clinical correctness, entertainment value, human comprehension, native Firefox behavior, native assistive-technology speech output, field Core Web Vitals, externally reachable production-edge behavior, live search indexing, or external generative citation.

The strongest next step is to turn the fictional relationship publication into a deterministic campaign-state prototype with versioned relationship history, reason-coded scenario changes, internal-bloc reactions, affected-community consequences, and safe nonviolent mission propagation, followed by independent abuse-case and fairness review.

## Local validation summary

- Static syntax and parsing: **514/514 passed** across 93 PHP files, 7 JavaScript files, 17 Python scripts, 393 JSON files, 3 XML files, and 1 CSS file.
- Local schema records: **70/70 passed**; IARPG-CJSON-1 vectors: **20/20 passed**.
- Six-report alliance integration: **6/6 sources, 6/6 canonical reports, 36/36 unique dispositions, and 6/6 deep pointer routes passed**.
- Fictional network model: **12 factions, 27 relationships, 14 relationship types, 8 domains, 7 lifecycle stages, 10 influence levels, 4 stress tests, and 12 safe mission seeds validated**.
- Managed Chromium: **15/15 general fixtures** and **7/7 alliance-system fixtures** passed.
- Shell and density: **20/20 shell checks** and **27/27 representative density checks** passed.
- Source and memory integrity: **355/355 source hashes**, **4,761 local links**, **3,121 heading anchors**, **238 pointer records**, and **98/98 byte-identical UAI mirrors** passed.
- Isolated TLS staging: **22/22 checks**, including **381/381 sitemap routes and metadata records**, passed.
- Controlled local edge: **59/59 checks** passed.
- Structural accessibility: **92 HTML routes with zero deterministic findings**.
- Delivery budgets: **10/10 passed**.

These results remain bounded local evidence. They do not establish native assistive-technology behavior, unrestricted external-host browser parity, human comprehension, entertainment quality, production performance, live indexing, or current geopolitical truth.
