The **Organization Profile** mirrors the structural logic of the program dossier. It orders information starting with the H1 organization name, a prominent label like FICTIONAL ORGANIZATION, a logo or insignia explicitly designed to be distinct from any real government seal, an organizational overview, key personnel, and affiliated programs. The public search architecture functions as the primary discovery engine, allowing users to seamlessly cross-reference clinical methodologies, historical intelligence cases, and the fictional framework of the ARG. Because the site blends reality with simulation, the search engine must be highly robust, transparent regarding its algorithmic behavior, and strictly privacy-preserving.  
Search entry points must be ubiquitous. A persistent text input field, or a highly prominent expanding search toggle, must remain available within the global header across all viewport sizes. The operational scope of the search index encompasses Programs, Organizations, Historical Cases, Glossary Terms, Briefings, Simulations, Projects, and Learning Paths, ensuring no content silo remains undiscoverable.  
Query interpretation is uniquely challenging due to the heavy reliance on specialized intelligence jargon. The engine must possess robust typo tolerance through fuzzy matching algorithms; for example, a user searching for "psycological" must reliably receive results for "psychological." Furthermore, acronym handling requires specific weighting. When a user searches an acronym such as "HUMINT," the engine must prioritize returning the formal glossary definition at the top of the results, directly followed by operational case studies that contextualize the term. The system must also interpret synonyms intelligently. Queries utilizing colloquial terminology, such as "Spy catching," must seamlessly route to the formal equivalent—"Counterintelligence"—by referencing the underlying acronym and synonym map17.  
Filtering and sorting controls must empower the user to refine vast datasets. Users must be able to filter search results by Content Label (e.g., isolating REAL-WORLD VERIFIED documents from FICTIONAL EDUCATIONAL SIMULATIONS), format types, and difficulty levels. While the default sorting mechanism is based on relevance weighting, a secondary chronological sorting option must be provided. Within the search results UI, every individual card must display its corresponding content label text prominently to prevent contextual confusion. Furthermore, text snippets must utilize \<mark\> tags to visually highlight exactly where the query matched the content, providing immediate validation to the user.  
Zero-result behaviors and sensitive content handling require strict ethical constraints. If a query yields no results, the system must not abandon the user to an empty page. Instead, it must offer spelling corrections, suggest related concepts, and list the top five most frequently accessed glossary terms to maintain engagement. More importantly, searches probing for real-world active covert operations, current classified personnel, or actionable security vulnerabilities must trigger a safe, generic fallback response, such as "No results found in the unclassified educational database," enforcing strict safety boundaries. Under no circumstances is the search index permitted to index or return real official government URLs, strictly adhering to the government-source rule. Finally, regarding privacy, recent searches may only be displayed if they are stored locally via the browser's localStorage API, accompanied by a clear user disclosure. Server-side personalization or user tracking is entirely prohibited, ensuring the portal remains a safe, anonymous educational space.

Finally, Accessibility Navigation tasks users to "Navigate to the 'Sources and Method' page without using a mouse. Expand the second accordion and read the contents," exposing any lingering keyboard traps.  
Sessions will be moderated remotely using a concurrent think-aloud protocol. Stringent privacy protections dictate that no personally identifiable information (PII) will be recorded; sessions rely exclusively on screen capture and audio, with all local data destroyed immediately after synthesis. Remediation priorities will be scored using a 3-point severity scale. A High (3) rating denotes a complete task failure, an inability to proceed, or a scenario where the user genuinely believes the site is a real government entity. A Medium (2) rating indicates the task was completed but involved significant frustration or excessive time-on-task. A Low (1) rating implies the task was completed easily, but minor aesthetic or layout anomalies were noted.  
Post-task interviews will focus on qualitative psychological feedback, asking specifically if the distinction between real educational facts and fictional game elements was clear, if partner banners felt coercive, and if the mental health warnings adequately prepared them for the described content.

Because physical wireframes cannot be rendered, the following prose descriptions dictate the exact spatial relationships, visual weight, and layout zones for the 17 required responsive templates.  
**1\. Homepage:** The viewport begins with a thin, high-contrast banner containing the mandatory public boundary text. Below this is the main navigation header (logo left, links right). The Hero zone occupies the top 40% of the screen, featuring a bold H1 mission statement centered over a muted, non-governmental background graphic. Immediately below the hero is a two-column "Quick Start" zone: the left column presents a prominent "Learn" CTA, while the right presents a "Play" CTA leading to the gateway. Below this, a 3x3 grid displays featured educational content cards, each topped with a classification label. The bottom of the page houses the partner project banners in a horizontal scrolling row, separated visually by a distinct background color, terminating in the global footer containing safety, privacy, and contact links.  
**2\. Listing Page:** The header and warning banner persist. Below the header, a horizontal breadcrumb trail sits above the H1 title. The layout splits: the left 25% is a sidebar containing checkbox filters for Status, Label, and Difficulty. The right 75% displays vertical list items. Each list item contains a thumbnail, an all-caps label, a bold title, and a two-line excerpt. A pagination block sits centered at the bottom of the right column.  
**3\. Program Dossier:** Breadcrumbs top the page. The H1 is massive and left-aligned, with the content label acting as a visual "tag" directly above it. The layout is a 65/35 split. The left column contains standard prose paragraphs detailing the executive summary and history. The right column is a sticky sidebar containing a shaded box. This box lists metadata (Date, Discipline, Difficulty) and contains a primary CTA button if the program links to a simulation.  
**4\. Organization Profile:** Structurally identical to the Program Dossier (65/35 split). The H1 is accompanied by a fictional logo centered above the text in the left column. Below the overview prose, a 2x2 grid highlights key personnel profiles.  
**5\. Historical Case Study:** This template prioritizes distraction-free reading. It utilizes a single, centered column with a maximum width of 800px for optimal line length. Breadcrumbs, label, and H1 are centered. A small line of meta-text indicates reading time. The prose features dotted underlines for glossary terms. The bottom of the page contains the mandatory non-linking source description box, followed by large "Previous" and "Next" case study navigation blocks.  
**6\. Glossary Entry:** A severely minimalist template. A centered container holds the H1 term. Below it, a blockquote style treatment shows synonyms. The definition is presented in large, highly legible text. A "Return to Directory" link sits prominently above the global footer.  
**7\. Briefing:** This template uses a simulated "document" aesthetic without mimicking real classification banners. A dark header band contains the fictional/educational label. The content is broken into distinct sections using horizontal rules: Situation Overview, Key Vulnerabilities, and Educational Objectives. A single, large primary action button ("Begin Analysis") sits at the bottom center.  
**8\. Learning Path:** The header is followed by a wide progress bar tracking local completion. The main content area is a vertical timeline. Each step in the timeline is a card containing a module title and a brief description. Completed steps are visually greyed out, while the active step is highlighted with a thick left border.  
**9\. Project Page:** A standard content layout. A wide hero image (abstract, non-governmental) sits behind the H1 title. The content flows in a single wide column containing Concept Overview and Technical Methodologies, interspersed with code snippets or structural diagrams requiring detailed alt-text.  
**10\. Sources and Method:** A text-heavy, single-column layout similar to the Historical Case Study. It utilizes deep H2 and H3 structures to break up the educational philosophy and attribution policies, ensuring screen readers can navigate via landmarks.  
**11\. Safety:** A highly utilitarian, single-column prose page. Typography is maximized for legibility. Critical emergency resources or warnings are placed in shaded, high-contrast callout boxes to ensure they are not missed during scanning.  
**12\. Accessibility:** Mirrors the Safety page layout. It details the portal's commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA and provides clear, plain-text instructions for adjusting local display settings or contacting support for navigation assistance.  
**13\. Privacy:** A standard legal/administrative layout. Deeply nested paragraphs utilizing H2s and H3s. A floating "Back to Top" button appears in the bottom right corner once the user scrolls past the first viewport height.  
**14\. Contact:** A centered, narrow-column layout (max 600px). Contains a brief introductory paragraph, followed by a form. The form utilizes large, clearly labeled inputs (Name, Subject, Message) with permanent labels (no disappearing placeholders). The submit button is full-width.  
**15\. Search Results:** The top of the page features a massive, full-width search input bar. Below it, a small text string indicates the result count. The results flow in a single column. Each result is a card featuring the page title as a blue link, the green URL path, the content label, and a two-line text snippet with matched query terms highlighted with a yellow \<mark\> background.  
**16\. 404 Page:** A centered, highly concise layout. A massive "404" graphic (abstract, not a simulated computer error) sits above a polite apology text. A search bar is placed directly in the center of the page, flanked by two buttons: "Return Home" and "View Glossary."  
**17\. Maintenance Page:** The simplest template. A single, full-screen centered container. It displays a recognizable "under construction" or maintenance icon, a clear H1 stating "System Maintenance," a brief explanation of the downtime, and an estimated time of return. No navigation header or footer is present to prevent users from attempting to access offline systems.
