# Browser Validation

## Purpose

Record current runtime evidence without turning fixture or standards compatibility into native-browser claims.

## Current Doctrine

- Managed Chromium fixtures verify all five round-trip sources, invalid-original preservation, responsive widths, high zoom, menu containment, one-sticky-surface policy, light default, stored dark, blocked-storage fallback, synchronization, reduced motion, forced colors, print, and offline/no-network behavior.
- Current fixtures also exercise all three walkthroughs: manual launch, step progression, back navigation, Escape dismissal, focus restoration, completion-state isolation, zero work-data mutation, zero network calls, narrow-viewport containment, reduced-motion behavior, and blocked-storage fallback. - The harness uses server-rendered HTML and local release assets because managed browser policy blocks unrestricted local HTTP navigation.
- Fixture evidence is meaningful but does not satisfy the unrestricted navigated Chromium gate.
- Current managed Chromium evidence passes 15/15 interaction groups. The focused shell harness passes 14/14 layout checks at 1440 × 900 and 390 × 844, including pre-scroll ordering and post-scroll pinning. - Native Firefox and native assistive-technology speech output remain not tested.
