# Theme

## Purpose

Preserve light-first rendering and visitor-controlled local dark appearance.

## Current doctrine

- Light is the unconditional public default.
- A saved dark preference initializes before the stylesheet and persists locally.
- Theme changes synchronize across tabs through the standard storage event.
- Blocked storage restores the light default.
- The theme switch exposes correct labels, aria-pressed state, and browser theme color.
