# Versioning

## Current Version Policy

- The active release envelope is 2.0.22-wip. Campaign branch replay intentionally retains the immutable 2.0.16-wip baseline identifier; do not mass-rewrite that baseline.

- Current version: `2.0.22-wip`.
- Next WIP: `2.0.22-wip`.
- Stable target: `2.1.0` only after every promotion gate passes.
- A completed WIP cycle increments at least the patch number and retains `-wip`.
- A publishable release increments the minor number and omits `-wip`.
- Every cycle ships a complete flat ZIP, external SHA-256, validation, release notes, current hot and durable memory, and a standalone next prompt.
- Historical WIP files retain their original identifiers and do not become current merely because they remain in the package.
